MK-677 (Ibutamoren)

What is MK-677?

MK-677 (Ibutamoren) is a powerful compound that helps with muscle growth, faster recovery from injury, and fat burning. Unlike other SARMs, MK-677 works through different hormonal pathways and can be stacked alongside them without causing negative side effects. It is proven to boost growth hormone levels but should not be used for extended periods due to potential side effects. This is why we offer a 50-capsule bottle, to avoid pituitary burnout.

Benefits of MK-677 include:

• Improved sleep quality
• Increased muscle mass
• Enhanced bone density

BIOV8 uses only premium pharmaceutical-grade MK-677 in our product.

Each bottle contains 50 capsules, with 25mg per capsule.

Description

MK-677, also known as Ibutamoren, is a long-acting orally bioactive agonist of the GHS-R1a receptor. It binds to the same receptor as GHRP2, GHRP6, and Ipamorelin, causing a rise in IGF-1 levels. Unlike other GH secretagogues, MK-677 does not reduce adipose tissue but has been shown to increase lean muscle mass. It may be a beneficial option for patients with sarcopenia and low bone mineral density. To maximize effectiveness, it is recommended to take MK-677 on an empty stomach, avoiding insulin in the system.

Clinical Research

Effects of an Oral Ghrelin Mimetic on Body Composition and Clinical Outcomes in Healthy Older Adults: A Randomized Trial

Background: Growth hormone secretion and muscle mass decline from mid-puberty onward, leading to sarcopenia, frailty, decreased function, and loss of independence. The decline of growth hormones is a contributing factor in sarcopenia, and its role needs further investigation.

Objective: To determine if MK-677, an oral ghrelin mimetic, increases growth hormone secretion to young adult levels, prevents the decline of fat-free mass, and decreases abdominal visceral fat in healthy older adults.

Conclusion: Over a 12-month period, MK-677 enhanced pulsatile growth hormone secretion, significantly increased fat-free mass, and was generally well tolerated. Long-term functional and pharmacoeconomic studies in elderly persons are recommended.
