WeGovy FlexTouch (Formulae)

The FlexTouch pen is an innovative delivery system for semaglutide, a human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue used for managing type 2 diabetes and weight loss in adults. This user-friendly, pre-filled pen ensures precise dosing and ease of use, making it an excellent option for regular semaglutide injections.

Semaglutide is a peptide used for weight loss in combination with lifestyle interventions such as nutrition and exercise. Initially developed to treat type 2 diabetes (T2DM), semaglutide was found to induce weight loss, leading to its application in weight management for individuals without T2DM.

Key Effects

• Reduced appetite
• Increased satiety
• May reduce overall calorie intake, especially with intermittent fasting
• Slows gastric emptying

Potential Additional Benefits of Semaglutide

• Prevention of diabetes
• Reduced risk of cardiovascular events
• Potential treatment for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
• Improved cognitive function
• Therapeutic effects for neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s)

How It Works

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist, a peptide naturally secreted by specialized cells in the gastrointestinal tract in response to carbohydrate ingestion. It stimulates glucose-dependent insulin secretion and slows gastric emptying, leading to reduced appetite and increased satiety. These effects drive its use in weight loss.
